I’m Courtney—mama of three, graphic designer, and a firm believer that some of life’s most beautiful stories begin in our weakest seasons. I’ve seen how God can take the crumbs of our days and turn them into something meaningful, something good. My hope is that as you read along, you’ll find pieces of your own story here too—and a gentle reminder that grace is always at work, even when we can’t quite see it yet.
I got married at 19, in 2008. Moved from Alabama to Florida and gave birth to my first son. Multiple moves, two more children, a worldwide pandemic, and 14 years later...I settled back home in Alabama and filed for divorce. Growing up Southern Baptist, divorce was never considered an option nor was it the plan that I had for myself and my children. But God had His own plan. He used the darkest moments of my life to create in me the most genuine faith and the authentic trust in His will and His timing.
Today, I find myself rediscovering who I am both as a woman and a mother and struggling to walk boldly toward wherever God is taking me.
My People
Noah (17)
Sarah (8)
Jonah (13)
From a professional scope, I have a Bachelor's Degree in English, Psychology and Biblical Studies from Troy University. I specialize in Showit based Wordpress Design and Brand Identity Development—working primarily with small businesses and creatives. With my Degree in English, I offer copywriting services alongside design services. Bringing a clients vision to life is one of the most exciting aspects of what I do. I have worked with hundreds of clients, in a wide variety of specialities, over the last 15+ years. Creating beautiful and intentional design never gets boring.
Outside of my design work and my writing, I’m a mama to Noah, Jonah, and Sarah and spend almost every spare and down moment doing laundry, finding those things no one else seems to be able to find, and watching one of them play ball.
so, how did we get here?

2014
Walking into 2026, I can say that we find ourselves in a place of contentment and peace with the life God has blessed us with. I am writing again and looking forward to what God has ahead for us.
After the effects of COVID-19, the decision was made for the kids and me to move back home to Alabama. In February 2021, we loaded a U-Haul trailer and made the drive from Cali back to the south. In May 2021, after 14 years of marital struggle and heartache that was never resolved, I filed for divorce and the kids and I began rebuilding our lives in Alabama.
In 2018, I packed up and moved from our beloved home in North Carolina to Sacramento, California. The drastic change in culture and dynamic led me to homeschool for the first time and brought me to a place of spiritual dependence I had never experienced before.
In 2017, I turned 30—a day that I celebrated with a surprise party and a whole lot of Japanese Food. That October, I gave birth to my daughter, Sarah and found myself facing the reality of the life that I was living and had created. I found myself asking quite often, "Is this what I want my children to grow up in?"
2012
In 2011, I moved from Florida to Alaska and I started my first business, Media Mom Creative. I knew nothing about web design or Wordpress, but I figured, "why not?" It proved to be a major success. In 2012, I gave birth to my second son, Jonah in frigid Kodiak, Alaska.
In 2014, I moved from frigid Alaska to a much warmer Wilmington, North Carolina. In 2015, I almost filed for divorce as my then husband and I were forced to deal with some of the demons in our marriage that had been lingering too long.
